The Lake Country Unitarian Universalist Church (LCUUC) Board of Trustees conducts the business affairs of the church and carries out policies, acting in the best interest of the members. The Board is composed of nine members including three officers: the President, who chairs the Board, the Vice President, who acts in place of the President when necessary, and the Secretary, who takes and disperses Board meeting minutes. The President is elected at the congregation meeting. The other two officers are selected from within, and by, the Board. The Minister is an ex-officio member of the Board and is in attendance at the meetings. The Treasurer is also ex-officio and regularly supplies a finance report at the Board meetings. The Board meets monthly, with additional meetings called when necessary throughout the year.The Board creates, and regularly reviews, policies for managing church business, proposes amendments to bylaws, adopts the annual budget, oversees investments, appoints special committees as necessary, and works with the minister to promote openness and transparency and to establish the boundaries and goals governing the work of the staff and the committees.
