Religious Education (RE) Program for Children and Youth
Helping our children grow in mind and spirit and heart
A message from our Director of Religious Education, Kerry Duma:

We welcome you and your children to the religious education program here at Lake Country Unitarian Universalist church. Our congregation is alive with the ideas and energy of children. We invite your family to participate in the many activities we have to offer. Our program is open to everyone, regardless of religious background or present beliefs. We offer a strong community in which children can learn, develop meaningful relationships with peers and adults, and grow spiritually. We strive to offer an opportunity for our children to learn about themselves as they search for truth and meaning in their lives, and to help them grow in compassion and respect for all people. We teach them to respect and care for the earth and we hope to inspire in them a life-long commitment to peace and justice.
Our religious education program offers an engaging variety of learning experiences for each level, appropriate to the children's developmental needs and abilities, grounded in our Unitarian Universalist principles.
We offer classes from 4-K through high school. Babies and toddlers are cared for in our staffed nursery. Parents are welcome to stay with their children in the nursery or in their classrooms until they are comfortable being on their own. Our classrooms are taught by teaching teams who bring their love and energy to the program.
In the links above on our website you will find a description of the curricula being used in our classrooms this year. Also included is information on the different curricula used over the years for each age group.
All of us at Lake Country Unitarian Universalist Church hope that you will find this to be a warm and inviting place for your whole family! If you would like to learn more about our Religious Education programs for children and youth, please contact me or come to a Sunday service. Your child will be welcomed into our classrooms and I will be happy to answer any of your questions.
Warmly,
Kerry Duma
